The Regional Development Local authority of Region 10 (RDC-X) offers endorsed the project Empowering the Cities of Cagayan delaware Oro and Iligan to Cope with Climate Change,kids supra shoes, pertaining to possible funding under the Combined Nation Development Program (UNDP).
Also called Project Climate Twin Phoenix arizona, the project was conceptualized in the aftermath of the huge devastation a result of Tropical Storm Sendong which strike Region 10, particularly the locations of Cagayan de Oro (CDO) and Iligan for December 16-17, 2011.
The job aims to assess the tragedy vulnerabilities of the two cities along with the municipalities surrounding the Cagayan de Oro in addition to Mandulog River basins in the region, Engr. Leon Michael. Dacanay, Jr., Regional Director of your National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), and Chaiperson of the Native Land Use Committee regarding region 10 (RLUC-X).
He said your project, specifically seeks to assess the geological, meteorological, and meteorologically- induced risks due to climate change, the results that would provide the basis for priority minimization actions like community-based/managed early alert systems and integrated contingency planning and mobilization.
Meanwhile, Dacanay reported the project will keep the development of climate resilient livelihoods along with risk sharing/transfer models, as well as manage knowledge on climate/disaster risk management for vulnerable communities.
Realizing the importance of the project because it focuses in rehabilitating the bad impacts of TS Sendong, particularly on the cities of CDO and Iligan, along with the municipalities around CDO River plus Mandulog River Basins, RLUC-X passed res No. 1, series of This year,supra tk society purple.
The said resolution is titled Endorsing the Project Enabling the Cities of Cagayan nufactured Oro and Iligan to Cope with Climate Change and also Project Climate Twin Phoenix, arizona, to Appropriate Funding Organization.
